Cash strapped Portsmouth will be desperately hoping for 3 points which would provide no more than momentary escape from the economic problems that they face, as their inland revenue talks stalled today. Meanwhile Sunderland, without a win in the Premiership in 11, will see this game as the perfect opportunity to stop the rot and climb further away from the relegation zone.
